The deadly Novel Coronavirus has spread to at least 170 countries and regions of the world. So far 14 people have been reported in Bangladesh, one has died. There is a possibility that the virus could spread further. As a result, the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations, which will start from 1st April, may be postponed. The corresponding formulas indicate this.
Asked about the Inter-Education Board and Dhaka Education Board Chairman, Professor Md. Ziaul Haque said on Thursday that a meeting of the law committee of the HSC exam has been postponed, but no decision has been made so far on whether to back the exam. The situation is being monitored, the decision will be taken after one more week, whether to pursue the test or not. But the formal program of conducting tests on the Corona virus panic has stalled, he said.
About the HSC exam, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said, “We have not taken any decision on this issue. In the near future, the decision will be taken by monitoring the overall situation. However, a bench will be planned after a bench to keep the students in a safe distance even though the HSC exam is conducted, ”he said.
According to the sources, lakhs of officials, teachers are involved in the whole process till printing the examination question papers and reaching the center and completing the examination properly. With him, more than 11 lakh candidates are expected to appear in the exam. Officers and teachers have to gather to conduct the examinations. This makes it possible for the corona virus to come in contact with each other. Considering the current situation, it has been a policy decision to postpone the test. A formal announcement may be made next week.
Already all kinds of educational institutions have been shut down to prevent the spread of the corona virus. Coaching centers have also been closed.

They are also saying: In a class, 30-40 students are taught. And at least 70 to 80 people are set up in one room after the test. In the exam room, the teachers, administration people are on duty. Outside the center of the examination, the general public, including the police administration, were crowded. The examiners are determined from their respective colleges to the distant college examination centers. For these reasons, the Corona virus is likely to be infected. They demanded that the examination be postponed considering the candidates.
Sources said teachers and officials concerned with the exam were also in a panic. The meeting of the secretariat of all the exam centers under the Dhaka Education Board was called on Monday to ensure that the HSC examination was organized properly because the government issued warning to avoid the assembly.
The HSC exam is expected to start with the first letter of Bangla (of course) on 1st April. A theoretical test is expected to be held by 4th May. Thereafter, the practical tests will begin on 5th May and continue till 13th May.
