Chittagong city has banned the use of high-level sound generating devices, music playing with music, microphones to increase the power of sound, loudspeakers, anything that causes noise pollution during construction, racing without horns, racing cars, racing motorcycles. Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP).
However, the use of the siren in all religious occasions and the use of sirens in patient-carrying ambulances will be prohibited.
CMP Commissioner on Monday (February 7). Mahbubur Rahman issued this order in the capacity given in Section 6 of the CMP Ordinance.
As the order states, noise pollution is extremely harmful to health. High doses cause ear damage and pose various health risks. In high blood pressure, heart disease and certain diseases, high levels of noise are very harmful. Especially in the long run, loud noise has a detrimental effect. Children old and sick are more affected by it. High levels of noise like pollution on one hand are the cause of public suffering.
CMP Commissioner Mahbubur Rahman said that the use of high-sounding instruments, music playing with musical instruments, microphones to increase the power of sound, loudspeakers, use of anything that could cause noise pollution, playing horns without cause, racing cars, racing motorcycles were declared banned. .
He said the use of sirens in all religious occasions and the use of sirens in patient-carrying ambulances would be out of the ban.
