In Sitakunda, Chittagong, a metal object weighing around 10kg from the sky formed a 15 -foot-deep hole. The incident happened on Saturday (21th March) afternoon.
With the help of local police in Sitakunda, members of the bomb disposal unit, Counter Terrorism Unit, lifted the metal band around 8pm. They said the object weighs about 30kg.
On receiving the news of the incident, the Counter Terrorism Unit of Chittagong Metropolitan Police rushed to the spot. Assistant Deputy Commissioner of the unit, Palash Kanti Nath, told reporters, "It is an object like clay iron, about three feet in height. It arrived in the open area next to a two-storeyed building from Akashi in Bhatiari area at 2pm today. It creates a 15-foot-deep hole. '
