Coronavirus lockdown in Delhi after West Bengal.

Chief Minister Aurobindo Kejriwal has announced a lockdown in New Delhi, the capital of India, after the deadly coronavirus outbreak. The lockdown will remain in force in Delhi from 6am on Monday to 31st march , he said.

Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal said, "We have decided to impose a lockdown in Delhi tomorrow (Monday) from 6am to 31st march .

"We have decided to impose a lockdown in the capital of the country for your health, Delhi and the nation as a whole," he told the citizens at a press conference in Delhi on Sunday.

Delhi police on Sunday morning imposed a section in the capital to limit movement of people as coronavirus infections spread throughout the country.

Police said no protests or public gatherings would be allowed in Delhi during the lockdown imposed by 31st March.
