After searching the Shahjalal Airport, the whole nation was shocked to try and take away the aircraft. Therefore, to prevent all types of weapons and explosive access, the state-of-the-art three body airports Shahjalal, Shah Amanat and Sylhet are being installed at Osmani Airport.

Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority Chairman Air Vice Marshal Md. Experimentally inspected the latest body scanner brought to the Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong on Monday (17th February ).
Wing Commander Sarwar-i-Zaman, managing director of Shah Amanat Airport, said the scanner was being set up at Dhaka's Shahjalal, Osmani Airport in Sylhet and Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong with JICA financing. The scanner can detect any kind of weapon and explosive concealed inside a passenger's clothes or body. Besides, metallic, non-metallic, wipers, standard and home made explosives (sheets and bulk), liquids, gels, plastics, powders, ceramics will be covered. It takes one and a half to two seconds to scan a passenger.

Accordingly, on 24 February in 2019, a passenger using a pistol named Palash Ahmed attempted to snatch a Bangladeshi airlines flight Dhaka-Chittagong-Dubai. He later died in a commando operation after an emergency landing at Shah Amanat International Airport.
Police said the pistol was a toy to try to snatch. Apart from this, the security of the airport has come under the question of actor Elias Kanchan and Fulcer Union chairman Mehdi Masud Hussain being unable to hold a pistol.
