Khurshid Alam Sujan, chief adviser of Civic Initiatives and Vice President of Chittagong Metropolitan Awami League, urged the service agencies in charge of providing services in the city of Chittagong to ensure the public service of the people. He made the call in a press release on Tuesday (24th March).
Alam Sujan of Khorshad said the government has announced a seven-day public holiday from 26th March to 1st April to prevent coronavirus infection nationwide. He also urged the people to remain vigilant during the holidays so that people do not get deprived of continuous service like electricity, water and gas.
He said that suddenly there was no water available in the Nalapara area of the city due to which the people of the area are in distress. Besides, Wassa Ghola water supply is being supplied in Gosaildanga area of the city and Wassa water supply in North Patenga is quite inadequate. As a result, people in those areas are deprived of access to safe drinking water. He repeatedly appealed to Wasser MD despite repeated requests to Wassar MD, calling attention to Wasser MD and urging them to resolve the issues quickly and ensure their services.
In addition to the increase in the temperature of the heat, electricity wheezing has started in different areas of the city. He called on the power department to stop this.
Sujan also urged all the activists and supporters of the civic initiative to address any problem or inconvenience of the people in different areas on the designated page of the civic initiative or mobile number.
He said that in the event of a disaster in Bangladesh, Bangladesh army always stood by the people. In order to protect the lives of the people, humanity performs the duties entrusted to them by humanity. Likewise, he expressed hope that the Coronavirus would be tackled in good service to the members of the army.
