Bit officer of Jaliyapalong Bit has been removed from the social forestry created in Jaliapalong, Ukhia, Cox's Bazar.

On February 3, at around noon, the Jaliapalang Bit reserve under the control of Ukhia Ghat Mouza BS-1, RS-20, illegally constructed these structures in the Jummapara camp area, Festar Jalilur Rahman said.

He said that Mohammad Farid, 42, son of Gafur Mia and Monir Ahmed, 8, of Jummapara area, were evacuated after receiving reports of illegal shops and houses being erected.

Inani Fadi IC and deputy inspector Siddharth Saha, garden president Jafar Alam, headman Jafar along with a group of policemen and forest workers were present. Preparations are underway to take legal action against those concerned, Bit officials said.
