Chairman's son Nabal arrested for Journalist torture  in Bhola.

Nabal Haider, son of Upazila Awami League president and local elder Manika Union Parishad chairman, was arrested for torturing journalist Sagar Chowdhury in Borahanuddin Upazila of Bhola and making the incident live on Facebook. Earlier, a case was filed against him at Borhanuddin Police Station on Tuesday night. Awareness palace has demanded justice in the wake of such brutal attacks on journalists.

Nabil was arrested from his residence at Borhanuddin upazila road at around 1:30 pm on Wednesday (1st April). He was arrested by a group of police led by Superintendent of Police Raselur Rahman of Lalmohan Circle.

Meanwhile, Borhanuddin Police Station OC Enamul Haque told bdnews24.com that Sagar Chowdhury had filed a case against Nabil Haider, number one and five unidentified persons, on Tuesday night.

It is noteworthy that Nabal Haider was accused of attacking journalist Sagar Chowdhury in a medieval attack on Jalim Manik Union Parishad chairman Jasim Uddin. To arouse anger, the journalist was beaten with slander and mobile robberies. A video of the incident later went viral on Facebook. A video of the journalist's statement then went viral on Facebook. The incident took place in front of the Rajamani Cinema Hall in the Upazila Sadar on Tuesday (31th March).

Rafiqul Islam, mayor of Borahanuddin municipality and Upazila Awami League secretary, said, “The incident is very embarrassing. When I was informed about the incident at Sagar police station on Tuesday, I advised him to inform Parliamentarian Ali Azam Mukul and Nabil's father Jasim Uddin Haider. Investigating the incident, I demanded legal action. ”

Earlier on Tuesday, Nabil and his father were unable to find any statement after repeatedly calling from Tuesday afternoon to report the attack.

Meanwhile, Borhanuddin Upazila Executive Officer Bashir Ghazi said, "The sea showed me a video with fishermen's statement on Monday alleging that fishermen were being given less rice in the Big Manika Union." I would like to call the union council chairman and secretary immediately. In the incident, beating the journalist, torture is not right, wrong. I expect a trial. "

Bhola Reporters Unity President and Daily Today Bhola Editor Shawkat Hossain and Bangladesh Online Editors Council President Abul Kalam Azad condemned the incident and demanded justice for the incident.
