Ten ventilators are sitting in the General Hospital

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has directed the government to take necessary measures to set up a ten bed intensive care unit (ICU) at Chittagong's General Hospital to combat Corona.

The letter sent from the ministry said that it has been directed to take necessary measures to increase the ICU facilities in 11 hospitals in eight divisions including Chittagong General Hospital.

Chittagong civil surgeon Dr. Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said that in the face of the crisis, the government has directed the government to take necessary measures for the installation of ten ventilators. Accordingly, I have started working to launch the ICU as soon as possible. He said arrangements have been made to prepare the ICU of the Disaster Chittagong Private Hospital Parkview and Imperial Hospital.

Earlier, the Chittagong Health Director informed that two private hospitals of Chittagong would have ICU ready because there was no ICU facility. Chittagong's BITID and General Hospital have been prepared to treat coronavirus patients.
