Wisden called for photos from professional and amateur photographers under the title 'Catch-Tris and Nets'. More than 650 pictures were submitted for the prestigious competition in cricket photography. From these numerous photographs, a short list of eight pictures is made.
Of which, the fisherighat image of the Karnofuly hill in Chittagong Bangladesh took place. Photo by Rajiv Raihan. Despite being shortlisted, the title was won by Ben Stokes after the winning run of that epic innings by Headingley.
Chittagong in the port city has been established by the arrows of the cornfields. And in the fisheri ghat of Karnaphulipar where a large number of boats of fishermen take fish from far away. This area, which is endemic to the odor of fish, is mainly the fishery's center. However, cricket does not understand the fish market or the industry. There is only one place for all the old cricket lovers to take the bat-ball into the field.
Likewise, a small group of cricket-loving people have found a small place in the fields of Fisheri Ghat in Karnaphuli. Where there are nets of fish scattered around. In the meantime, the cricket lovers took the bat in their hands. And that moment the camera was captured by Rajiv Raihan, the photographer of The Daily Star. This is the picture that took place in the short list of a special section of Wisden-MCC's Photography of the Year. However, Ben Stokes' epic Ashes last image was the best selected.
