The National Advisory Committee on the 17 expert who takes the government National Advisory Committee

The government has formed a National Technical Advisory Committee with experts to tackle the challenges of the coronavirus epidemic.

President of Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council and senior pediatrician Dr. The Health Ministry has formed a 17-member committee, chaired by Mohammad Shahidullah.

A notification was issued last Saturday (18th April).

Member of the committee has been made the Secretary, Director of the Institute of Pathology, Disease Control and Research. Mirzadi Sabrina Flora. The committee has been asked to advise the government on preventing Covid-19 and improving the quality of hospital services.

Former Vice-Chancellor Professor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. Nazrul Islam (Virologist), President of Bangladesh Diabetic Association Dr. AK Azad Khan is a member of the committee.

The members of the committee are senior obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Shahla Khatun, Former VC Gastroenterology Department Chair Professor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. Mahmood Hasan, President of Bangladesh Medical Association. Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin.

Former Vice-Chancellor Professor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Member Medical University. Pran Gopal Dutta (nose, ear, throat specialist), President of the Independent Medical Council Prof. Iqbal Arslan, senior obstetrician and gynecologist and former president of the Obstetric and Gynecological Society of Bangladesh, Dr. Raushan Ara Begum, ICDDR, BA's senior director of Maternal and Child Health Research. Shams L Arefin will advise the government as a member of the committee.

Senior Anesthesiologist Professor Dr. Khalilur Rahman and Senior Medicine Specialist Professor Dr. Tariqul Islam, former chairman of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. Humayun Sattar, a former professor at the National Cancer Member Research Institute and a former professor of pathology at the hospital. Md. Ghulam Mostafa, former director of the Institute of Pathology, Disease Control and Research. Mahmudur Rahman, former director of the National Mental Health Institute and Hospital Professor. Md. Abdul Mohit has been placed on the committee.

This committee advises the government on the prevention of coronavirus; Providing advice on improving the quality of hospital services; The doctors who are providing health care will advise the government to take necessary measures to increase their capacity.

In addition, advise on what measures can be taken to encourage others, including healthcare professionals; Will advise on Covid-19 vaccine research.

The government has given information on the detection of coronavirus infection in Bangladesh out of a total of 2,144 people till Saturday; A total of 84 died.
