Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members have handed over the rare species of blueberries rescued to Shivganj in Chapainawabganj to the forest department. And the forest department sends the animal to Bangabandhu Safari Park in Gazipur.

The Nilgaiti arrived at Safari Park early Saturday (22th February).

Earlier on Friday (21th February), Nilgai was rescued while being trapped in mud on the Padma river in Masudpur Thuthapara border area of ​​Manaksa union of the upazila. Later in the night it was sent to Bangabandhu Safari Park. It is thought that this rare creature has crossed the river from India.

Lt. Col. Mahbubur Rahman Khan, commander of the Chapainawabganj-1 BGB, said that on Friday morning, some locals went to the field to cut the grass and found a bluegrass while they were stuck in mud on the Padma river. He told the matter to Samir Uddin, a ward member of Manaksa union-4, he informed the Masudpur BOP. Later the BGB members rescued the animal with the help of locals. Later in the night, Nilgaiti was handed over to the Rajshahi Forest Department.

Meanwhile, forester of Rajshahi 'Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation', Ashraful Islam, said that the rescued Nilgaiti species are rare in the species and in the country. The Nilgai was transported by night to the Gazipur Bangabandhu Safari Park at the behest of the higher authorities.
