We are delighted with the Bashundhara Bitumin Plant: Finance Minister

Finance Minister AHM Mostafa Kamal expressed his enthusiasm over the country's first Bashundhara bitumen plant at the private level.

He said, "We are no longer required to import bitumin for the welfare of Bashundhara.

He said this while inaugurating the Bitumen Plant of Bashundhara Oil and Gas Company Limited on Saturday.

The finance minister said, we have not found a solution with Bitumin till now. We did not find the bitumen that matched our weather. I could not maintain quality excellence after import. Roads would not be sustainable. But Bashundhara has come up with that solution. They are also planning to export bitumen abroad to meet the country's needs. This is a big achievement for Bangladesh.
