Awami League's Chittagong City Corporation (Chosik) has been nominated chairman of the election management committee. Anupam Sen and Member Awami League Vice-President Advocate Ibrahim Hossain Chowdhury Babul have been the Member Secretary.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the executive committee of the city Awami League on Friday (February 27).

Almost half a hundred leaders have filed nomination papers for the post of councilor without the support of the Awami League.
