Construction of alternate roads collapsed in the hills: The fourty seven family has not received compensation even today.

During the monsoon season many people of the hills lost their lives on the main roads of Ruma and Bandarban. Due to the collapse of the roads due to the monsoon season in the road for the three years drawn during the monsoon season on the Ruma and Bandarban main roads, there has been strong allegation against the Board of Directors of indiscriminate road construction on the machanghar, zam cultivation fertility lands and fruit trees. About 47 families were injured in construction of a 20 km alternative road from Ruma to Rowangchhari, locals claimed. Many of the victims hope to get compensation if the Chittagong Hill Tracts Board wants it.

According to Sarejmin, on 1st February 2019, the construction work of the road was inaugurated by Chittagong Hill Tracts Minister Bir Bahadur Usha Singh. After the initial calculation, the expenditure was estimated at Tk 48 crore. Construction work on the road is expected to be completed on paper by 2022.

Abdul Aziz, project director of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board, told ChittagongNews.com, that the hands of the Ruma and Bandarban main roads were hit in several places. Several families have been affected in the construction of alternate roads from Ruma to Rowangchhari. According to him, there is no provision for compensation from the Development Board. Nevertheless, we are wondering how to provide support for the affected families.

Some of the officials of the contractor and development board feared the big case of land law when we sought remedies, Ruma Pindu Union's name publicly told Chittagong News.com. Nevertheless, we all believe that Hill Chittagong Minister Bir Bahadur Ushasing and Chairman of Hill Chittagong Development Board Nab Vikram Kishore (NDC) can get a solution if they want.

The residents of Roangchari upazila told the Chittagong News that the fruit garden was damaged due to being in the middle of the garden. They also said, 'Our words are not in anybody. You come and see a lot of troublesome zooms are destroyed.

Bandarban Environment Department senior chemist AKM Shamul Alam Kursey said that cutting of hills is a serious offense of government law. He added that the image of the hill cut off indiscriminately in development work was not at the fingertips of the environment office. We will take a quick visit and take action against them under the Environment Act.
