For the first time, the note of 200 taka came to the market.

In celebration of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh Bank has today released the first Tk. 200 denomination note in the market.

It is learned that in the first year there will be two types of commemorative and conventional 200 Taka notes. From the second year, there will be no commemorative notes in the market or regular notes.

Initially, the note of 'Tk 200 note' is written on 'Special Note for Mujib Year'. However, the notes that will be released after 2021 will no longer be written on them.

It should be noted that the government has declared 'Mujib Varsha' in the year 2020-2021 to celebrate the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
