The rebel candidates have agreed to leave : Engineer Mosharraf

General and reserved councilor candidates who have participated in the election as rebel candidates without the party's support in the Chittagong City Corporation (Chosik) election, said Awami League chief coordinator engineer Mosharraf Hossain in the Chosik election.

He said this at a briefing held at a hotel in the city on Thursday (19th March).

Engineer Mosharraf Hossain said, "We have explained to those who are participating in the elections without party support." They have agreed to abstain from elections. Now that there is no opportunity to withdraw the candidacy, they have said they will support the party-backed candidate.

He said these candidates would refrain from campaigning. Work for the party-backed candidate.

"We are all committed to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," said Awami League general secretary AJM Nasir Uddin. We all do politics to strengthen the PM's hand. We are no one outside the party's decision.

She said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the head of the nomination board. He has nominated mayor, councilor. Following the party's decision, the councilor's candidates will support the party-backed candidate.

AJM Nasir Uddin said some unexpected things have happened recently in the center of the elections. In view of these events, we have made such a decision. If that were not the case, the matter could have been different.

Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Knopfel said those who have been elected as councilors have a political career. Politics is not for a day. At a press briefing, MP Latif, MP of Bandar-Patenga constituency, Altaf Hossain Chowdhury Bachchu, vice-president of Nagar Awami League were present.
