Considering the ongoing situation of coronavirus, the biopic shooting of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was followed. The film's casting director Baharuddin Khelon confirmed the information on Tuesday (10th March).

The biopic of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is being constructed in joint production by the Government of Bangladesh and India. Mumbai director Shyam Benegal has been chosen to build it.

Sources in the information ministry said that the shooting of the movie, which will begin on 17th March 1, will be 2 hours and 20 minutes - the centennial birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The casting director of the movie, Baharuddin Khelon, said that shooting of Bangabandhu could start from next September! A formal announcement will be made shortly.

Bangabandhu's biopic will portray Arifin Shubhak as the young Bangabandhu character. Nusrat Imroz Tisha will play the role of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib. And Nusrat Faria will be seen in the character of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina.
