In the Chittagong City Corporation (Chosik) election, Awami League's nominee mayor candidate Rezaul Karim Chowdhury has only Rs 1 lakh in cash. On the other hand, Jatiya Party nominee candidate Solaiman Alam Seth has cash in the hands of Tk. 1 crore 41 lakh 28 thousend 500 and  Shahdat Hossain has cash worth Tk 15 lakh.

Awami League nominee mayor candidate Rezaul Karim Chowdhury has no loan. He did not take any loan from the bank or any person. Jatiya Party nominated mayoral candidate Solaiman Alam Seth has no personal loan, but has a loan of Rs 92 lakh 49 thousand 167 .

BNP nominee Dr. Shahadat Hossain has a loan of Tk. 3 crore  34 lakh 52 thousend 445 Of these loans, Uttara Finance Investment Limited has Tk 3 crore  2 lakh 25 thousend  , the first security Islamic bank Tk 29 lakh 81 thousand 132 and other loans of 2 lakh 46 thousand 313 thousand.

No case has ever been filed in the name of Awami League nominee candidate, Rezaul Karim Chowdhury. A case was filed against Jatiya Party nominee Mayor candidate Solaiman Alam Seth in 2004 but he was acquitted by the court in the 2008th.

BNP nominee Dr. Shahadat Hossain in the case. There are four criminal cases against him. These cases are pending in court. The proceedings of some of the cases have been suspended in the court and in one case, he was acquitted by the court.
