Cigarettes worth 21 million taka instead of 21 gold bars

Officials seized cigarettes worth Tk 21 lakh in search of gold shipment at Shah Amanat International Airport.

These cigarettes were seized by a passenger on a flight from Abu Dhabi to BG-128 on Thursday (27th February ) at 11pm. The NSI team and the Airport Customs joint search operation on the basis of the secret news.

However, the passengers of the flight announced 24 gold bars of 21 carats. As a result, the passengers will be able to withdraw Tk. An official said the passengers are expected to announce a gold bar when they are concerned about raising the authorities' surveillance.

Airport sources said, among the passengers. Sohel runner to the carton, Md. 300 cartons near Selim, Md. 260 cartons near Imtiaz, 190 cartons for Abul Kalam and Belal Mohammad, 20 cartons for Abdul Azim, Kazi Md. Hanif found 30 cartons and 15 cartons of cigarettes in the abandoned state. The market price of cigarettes per carton is Tk 2,000.

The seized cigarette has been handed over to Airport Customs for further legal process.
